RICS Annual Get Together
It’s magic, a phrase people use as a throwaway to describe something they love and something they’re delighted by. Well on 12th July 2018, it really was magic. I was really delighted to perform for the good folk from the RICS on their annual get together at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel where they were treated to a wonderful gourmet meal and got to see me perform a few mesmerising magic tricks to delight and entertain them.
What better evening, than to relax, eat, have a few drinks and watch some close up magic in action, and all for a really great cause – ending youth homelessness! It was also lovely to have a gig so close to home, as I’m normally burning rubber up and down to London in my trusty magic chariot. So having a gig in Bristol in the Mercure was just lovely as I’m also playing to my home crowd!
This was the fourth gig I had performed out of 6 that week. My slot came during the drinks reception as people clinked glasses. It was a real delight to know I had captured the audience’s full attention when I performed as I could hear people calling me over so they too could see the magic! On a such a hot day, in mid-July, it was lovely to be the entertainment to help people relax and enjoy their evening by creating a few magical distractions.
I love to delight and amaze with some of my favourite magic tricks including magic card tricks, but unlike an old dog, I can learn new tricks, and that’s what I’m doing all the time to refresh my act and keep you mesmerised!
It was lovely to see that everyone seemed to love my new material and were bribing me with drinks to reveal my tricks. As a true magic circle professional though, I won’t ever be bribed! After all, what I do is simply magic!
